Just two weeks after welcoming daughter Harlow, Nicole Richie is already skinny again. That’s what not ingesting any nutrients will do!

There’s plenty to celebrate for the family: Medina recently brokered Nicole Richie’s $1 million sale of the first pictures of little Harlow Madden.

This next part is sweet, though.

Joel Madden recenly blogged that he “had no idea what love even was until Harlow came along. I swear it’s so hard to leave during the day, but always so rewarding to come home to the little family… She is growing so fast!”

Best you never thought you’d hear those words in the same sentence. Well, if there weren’t a baby up in that, you surely never would. Nicole Richie sure is enormous, though - and will remain so for about another month.

After donating the gifts she received at her baby shower - attended by the likes of Paris Hilton, Lauren Conrad and more - to charity, Nicole and her rocker fiance, Joel Madden, are preparing for the birth of their first child.

Good news for Nicole - Jessica Alba and Cash Warren (and perhaps Tiffany Pollard) have joined the ranks of Hollywood parents-to-be! Play dates galore!

Joel Madden and Nichole Richie as part of their foundation, “The Richie Madden Children’s Foundation” gave out over $200,000 worth of baby gifts and supplies to 100 expecting mothers at an L.A. free clinic. From People:

“Not many kids have a foundation launched in their honor before they’re born. But that will be one of the many privileges bestowed upon Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s baby, due in January.

The couple hosted a surprise baby shower Monday for 100 expectant and new moms at the Los Angeles Free Clinic in Hollywood, where they handed out more than $200,000 worth of gifts. “The looks on their faces were priceless,” Richie told reporters after the shower. “Some of them didn’t even believe us [when they saw the gifts]. They thought we were joking.”

The Richie Madden Children’s Foundation (at richiemaddenfoundation.com), Madden said, was an idea the couple had when they found out they were expecting. “We grew up in Los Angeles,” he said, “and we want our child to be a part of the community, and to know that there’s a responsibility to help the community.””

I thought this was definitely a beautiful Christmas story, and power to both Nicole and Joel for giving back to the community, especially at a time of the year when families need it most. And I can’t wait to see their baby in January.
