Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler are still making headlines after their appearances at the world premiere of The Bounty Hunter in London last night. During her appearance on GMTV this morning, Aniston was asked if she would ever get back together with a former lover, and she replied: “Absolutely. When you dated before maybe you were at a time in your life when you’re not ready and not mature enough to make a big commitment. But people change and you learn to accept the good and the bad.” So, of course, OK! Magazine and other are screaming that she’s “open” to getting back together with Brad Pitt. But I’m kind of hoping this was her siren call to Tate Donovan. He’s on Damages now, and he rocks the Kasbah. Seriously, let’s hope she wasn’t considering getting back with John Mayer.
Jennifer also told GMTV that she thinks Gerard Butler is “lovely, he’s a real nice guy. But it seems I get linked to all my co-stars. There seems to be a formula - if you make a movie together, then you must be dating in real life. I don’t know who starts those rumors but I’m learning to ignore them.” Chuckle. No comment.
As for Gerard, he told the press on the red carpet that he and Jennifer “have a blast together and she appreciates that Celtic manner.” Aniston eats haggis? That’s the headline! Butler also said: “There’s nothing diva-ish about her, she’s very down to earth, very sure of herself and who she is, and I’m like a little kid, who doesn’t take myself too seriously…We had a fun script and a great director, so we just had to dive in and it was a blast.” Additionally, there’s one more part of his Men’s Health interview I wanted to share, unfortunately not about bush-trimming. Gerry was talking about how he’s a very “anxious” person (really?) and he said: “I was born into a world of anxiety… I am slightly addicted to anxiety. When I’m feeling anxious, I’ll create more anxiety for myself. Like I might call all these people about what’s fun to do tonight and end up with four different options, which in itself would put me into a blind panic; but then I’ll make another four calls just to make it 10 times more anxiety-ridden.” That does not sound like the image I have of him, at all. Weird.
As for Jennifer’s much-analyzed outfit, we finally get confirmation: the minidress was Valentino, and the jacket was Alexander McQueen. Oh, and the shoes were Jimmy Choo. Aniston also told reporters: “I love my Gerry. We just lucked out — director fantastic, Gerry fantastic, our crew, New York — you just can’t go wrong.”

Miley Cyrus gave a new interview to promote The Last Song, and she’s still talking about how “deep” her relationship is with boyfriend and costar Liam Hemsworth. Previously, Miley said that “I think we’re both deeper than normal people—what they think and how they feel. He’s very grateful for what he has, but he doesn’t let it go to his head. I’m like that too.” Spoken like a 17-year-old in love, right? Well, we’ve got more of it now, although I’m finding this interview so much more interesting than that stupid Teen Vogue one. Here are the excerpts pulled by OK Magazine:
Now the cat is out of the bag about Miley Cyrus‘ romance with The Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth, the teen star can’t stop talking about their “deep connection”.
She rang into the Johnjay and Rich show on KIIS FM in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday morning and talked about going public with her relationship [via Radar Online].
“Everyone knew we were dating,” she said. “I mean, who flies to Australia just to visit with a ‘friend’?”
Although she denies that the Aussie hunk is living with her, she described their bond as a “deep connection” that is “deeper” than most people.
So what does she love about him? He has his own career and isn’t using her for fame. “I feel like I’ve been with people before, both in the public eye and out of the public eye, that may need something from me,” Miley said.
“He’s not like that. He was already successful, he was already cast in the movie, he didn’t need me for that. He doesn’t need me to make him famous. He’s got his career and his goals and that’s awesome.”
Mentioning her Oscars flub, Miley said that she hadn’t been nervous before going on stage but co-presenter Amanda Seyfried, “got me freaked out” and she said that also just before stepping on stage Oscar producer, Adam Shankman, unnerved her by telling her, “Add personality to it!”
Miley said that she’s “super stoked” about The Last Song and that she hopes “for the first time people will take me seriously” but if they don’t she’s “ready for the ups and downs, I’m so excited, no-one can take that away from me.”
She added: “I may not be the best singer in the world, but I don’t lip synch, I’m honest. I’m honest in acting too – I’m going to chose roles I like. I’m doing what I like, people that are dogging me probably aren’t which is why they’re down on me., I want to tell them ‘go get a hobby!’”

It’s not that I find Miley’s sentiments so profound in general, but I do find them profound because they’re coming out of Miley, The Girl Sold To Disney. You know what I’m saying? Her father pretty much encouraged Disney (and many other entities) to build a billion-dollar corporation around his young daughter, and Billy Ray and Disney (and many others) have been profiting from her for years. Miley probably can’t remember a time when she wasn’t the breadwinner of her family, when she had a relationship that wasn’t based on a combination of money-seeking and fame-seeking behavior, both corporate and familial. Miley says: “I feel like I’ve been with people before, both in the public eye and out of the public eye, that may need something from me. He’s not like that. He was already successful… He doesn’t need me to make him famous. He’s got his career and his goals and that’s awesome.” I think it’s kind of incredible that Miley is this cognizant of her own fame, her own family, the position she’s been put in by her Disney and the corporation that surrounds her. And she must love that she’s got someone in her life that isn’t asking for anything but her. Well done, Miley.

I hope that title isn’t too much of a spoiler, but since everyone else is reporting it like this there’s almost no point of trying to skirt around it. If you’re a Grey’s fan and would rather not know the details you can return to the main page and skip this story.
The story is that Heigl was supposed to return to the set of Grey’s on March 1, which was when her maternity leave was scheduled to end. (Heigl took time off when she adopted a special needs baby, Naleigh, from South Korea.) Heigl didn’t come back for whatever reason, probably because she’s an entitled twit and didn’t think she should show up if no one was throwing her a party. Some brief background: last July she complained bitterly about her first day on set to Letterman, which the president of ABC called “unfortunate,” and later took a five week leave of absence. (There’s more, but I’m not going to get all that.) When she came back briefly after adopting Naleigh, the cast and crew supposedly found her tolerable, but that doesn’t seem to have been enough for her to work out her differences with producers. Sources say that Heigl is off Grey’s for good and probably won’t even shoot additional episodes:
Katherine Heigl may be getting ready to check out, at last, from Grey’s Anatomy.
Citing sources, Entertainment Weekly reports that the ABC show’s creator, Shonda Rimes, has agreed to release Heigl from her contract; a final exit agreement still needs to be worked out.
Heigl had been on leave from the hit show while she tended to her film career as well as her newly- adopted daughter, Naleigh, but was scheduled to resume shooting episodes March 1.
EW.com reports the actress never appeared at the studio on or after that date , and she may end up not shooting any additional episodes. An ABC rep declined to comment.
The rising star’s relationship with the series has been increasingly bumpy over the years. In 2008, Heigl pulled herself out of the running for the Emmys, complaining that that she wasn’t given any “material…to warrant a nomination.”

For your Grey’s fans that made it this far - will this dramatically change your favorite show? Were you expecting Heigl’s character Izzy to be written off anyway? From what I understand the character had a brain tumor so it’s like they were just preparing to get rid of her. I bet a lot of people are relieved. Now Heigl can concentrate on making terrible romcoms, as if we don’t have enough of those already.
I know it seems like we’ve got a lot of gay-issued themed posts today (see this and this and this - haha, I got you to click on Mel Gibson!), but this one I just had to do. Because this one is about my gay boyfriend Johnny Weir. Apparently, Weir is not good enough to appear on “Stars on Ice”. Not that he can’t ice skate - I mean, the bitch can ice skate! No, Johnny’s problem seems to be that he’s viewed as “not family friendly”. Because, you know, he’s Johnny “I rock the pink tassel” Weir and apparently people who pay to go to ice skating tours don’t realize that many of these men are gay? Here’s more from Gawker:
That would be ironic. GLAAD says the Lady Gaga-loving Olympian was excluded from the money-raking figure skating tour because he is “not family friendly.” GLAAD blogger Lauren Mattia writes, “GLAAD has learned from a source that wishes to remain anonymous that sponsors of the Stars on Ice Tour, which include Smuckers and IMG Entertainment, have refused to allow 3-time US National Champion and 2-time Olympian Johnny Weir to participate because they claim that he is “not family friendly.”
To say that Weir is “not family friendly” would be a clear jab at his perceived sexual orientation. Weir is extremely involved with his family. He is putting his younger brother through college, and supports the family financially because his father’s disability prohibits him from working. […] Weir’s performance and costume style is sometimes considered flashier than those of other skaters, leading to questions about his perceived sexual orientation.
GLAAD’s post doesn’t specify whether Weir was invited or had an interest in joining the Stars on Ice tour, which will feature teammate and Olympics gold medalist Evan Lysacek, no-longer-competing Sasha Cohen, and Japan’s Miki Ando. Weir has said he’s taking a break from performing to train privately, and has yet to comment on GLAAD’s claim. Stars on Ice also has yet to comment, though we’ve invited their spokeswoman (and Johnny’s) to comment.
[From Gawker]
This isn’t the first controversy regarding people’s reactions to Weir’s perceived sexuality. During the Olympics, Canadian commentators made “jokes” about how Weir was probably a woman, after which Weir gave one of the most brilliant press conferences about his (or anyone else’s) sexuality ever. Weir basically told the world, “Look, I am who I am, I’m not out to censor anyone or get anyone fired, but this isn’t cool because there are kids out there who need to grow up in a world where they feel safe to be who they really are.”
Now, as for the actual issue of Weir appearing on “Stars on Ice”… well, we don’t even know if Weir would want to go. He’s been popping up all over the place lately, and he’s definitely going to be around as a “celebrity” for a while, I think. There was some talk over at Gawker that Weir might make more money if he does European and international gigs, rather than just skate stateside, but I have no idea about those markets. We’ll see. Honestly, I’m fully expecting him to begin designing clothes and show up in a Lady Gaga music video any day now.

The note on INF reads: “With filming for the movie ‘The Tourist’ delayed due to strike action across Italy, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their two twins, Vivienne and Knox, visit the Gritti Palace Hotel in Venice, Italy.” So I guess Angelina had the day off so she and Brad took the twins sight-seeing. And the paparazzi got some really tight close-ups of twins Knox and Vivienne, and they are walking! Why is this shocking to me? I have no idea. I mean, they’re old enough at 18 months, but I’ve just never seen their little feet hit the ground. Sidenote: I spy silkies!
They’ve gotten so big you can actually see the little twinge of personality in them, like when we saw a then 1-year-old Zahara throw the paparazzi a “WTF, douche?” look for the first time. Just judging them solely by the photos, I’d say that Vivienne isn’t going to be a little tomboy like Shiloh. I think she’s going to be more like Zahara, a little girly-girl.
As for Knox? Look at his hardcore little face! He looks so much like his dad, he’s even dressed in a little Inglourious Basterds-era leather jacket. Knox has so much style!
