It became official today that Madonna has now legally adopted her son, David Banda. The singer took Banda into her home in 2006 with the intention of adopting him but it is only now that the process has finished. From US,

“Banda’s biological father Yohane told Usmagazine.com exclusively: “I am glad this is over now. I am happy for David.”

“I gave Madonna 100% rights for my son,” Yohane said. “He is her son. It’s because of her benovent nature that he assured me she will not cut ties with me.”

“We wish David and [his] mum, new dad, sister and brother would join us,” he added. “We are now family.”

Madonna recently premiered a documentary she made about orphans in Malawi.

“I was allowed to view footage and photographs of a lot of the children,” she told Oprah Winfrey in 2006. “An 8-year-old girl who is living with HIV was holding this child. I became transfixed by him. … But I didn’t yet know I was going to adopt him. I was just drawn to him.”

Madonna said David had survived malaria and tuberculosis but “no one looking after [his] welfare.”

Madonna, 49, and Ritchie have two other children: Lourdes, 11, and Rocco, 7.”

I’d say that I hope all is well for her family but I don’t think it will be considering that she and Guy Ritchie are due to break up any day now. It’s nice that this process is over for them though and that David is now officially part of the family. I’m also wondering if freakin Madonna has to wait two years for the process to be completed, how long does someone have to wait when they don’t have money falling out of their hands at every turn and don’t carry a huge name such as hers.

It’s not unusual to find a picture of Eva Mendes naked.

Typically, though, the gorgeous actress is showing off her body on the cover of magazines such as Maxim. In the photo below, she’s joining the likes of Sophie Monk nude by baring it all in the name of animal rights.

For the record, The Hollywood Gossip has supported Jennifer Love Hewitt since her days on Party of Five. We were always huge fans of the actress. Now, evidently, others are coming around to our side.

At this week’s Dolce & Gabbana fragrance launch, a trio of beauties backed up Hewitt’s outrage over being judged on her supposedly plump figure.

• Petra Nemcova: “There are different angles that everybody, even if you’re in great shape, can look bad in a photograph. And printing these images is definitely influencing people’s minds – the stars themselves, but also the people who are reading and looking at the images, the teenagers. It’s definitely good that she spoke out.”

• Rosario Dawson: “They’ll make a whole story about it if someone gains five pounds… It think there is a huge obsession with size-zero jeans, and it’s just really scary. I don’t really know where that comes from. We’re not really in the Twiggy era anymore. It makes me really nervous, because I don’t know how in the world we’re supposed to be that thin unless we’re totally starving and drugging up.”

• Anne Hathaway: “[As an actress], most of the year, your body is your own. But to be ridiculed for it is upsetting. Joel Madden and Nichole Richie as part of their foundation, “The Richie Madden Children’s Foundation” gave out over $200,000 worth of baby gifts and supplies to 100 expecting mothers at an L.A. free clinic. From People:

“Not many kids have a foundation launched in their honor before they’re born. But that will be one of the many privileges bestowed upon Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s baby, due in January.

The couple hosted a surprise baby shower Monday for 100 expectant and new moms at the Los Angeles Free Clinic in Hollywood, where they handed out more than $200,000 worth of gifts. “The looks on their faces were priceless,” Richie told reporters after the shower. “Some of them didn’t even believe us [when they saw the gifts]. They thought we were joking.”

The Richie Madden Children’s Foundation (at richiemaddenfoundation.com), Madden said, was an idea the couple had when they found out they were expecting. “We grew up in Los Angeles,” he said, “and we want our child to be a part of the community, and to know that there’s a responsibility to help the community.””

I thought this was definitely a beautiful Christmas story, and power to both Nicole and Joel for giving back to the community, especially at a time of the year when families need it most. And I can’t wait to see their baby in January.
